Most of us experience twitching of our muscles (fasciculations) from time to time. Muscle twitching usually occurs in the face, arms, and legs, but it can occur throughout the body. Under normal circumstances, the brain communicates smoothly with the muscles, asking them to contract, but when this signal becomes out of balance, the muscles begin to twitch.
Generally, involuntary muscle twitching occurs infrequently and is something we quickly forget about. However, if you have had long bouts of muscle twitching, you will need to determine the causes and solutions for this troublesome disease before your cramps turn into full-blown muscle spasms.
